Artist’s statement

We can only speak with words and so the limits of our language are the prison walls of our perception. The world has never been more globally connected and as a direct consequence our humanity has never been more divided. We are divided from our neighbours and we have used our culture to separate ourselves from nature, but it is really from our own human nature that we have been the most alienated. It is through art that the doors of our perception might be opened so that we can see beyond human understanding towards the spiritual interconnected diversity of life on Earth. Here Lies Truth is the tombstone that marks the spot where Fake News and algorithms have buried our senses within a tomb of misunderstanding. The words also speak the contradictory truth that only through art might the truth be borne once again to embody the unknowable that defines the borders of language. The truth can exist in art only because both are beyond the confines of rational determinism and outside our linear logic of understanding. Art Changes the World – One Perception at a Time!
