The concept of photography as a medium that bears witness to the truth is called into question.
In his series Constructed Realities, Abraham Oghobase combines, superimposes and manipulates photographic, graphic and written documents that were created during the colonial era in Nigeria. The resulting collages not only blur and transcend the boundaries between analogue and digital media, but also question supposedly objective narratives of the British Empire to maintain its own power.
