Artist’s Statement
My passion project Lagos Bai Bai was selected to be a part of the amazing Lagos Biennial show ‘How to build a lagoon with just a bottle of wine’ and honestly it’s been such an honour. When I created the work it was not with any grand scheme or vision in mind besides telling a story I felt needed to be told, recognition for doing so was never a part of the picture.
