Artist’s statement
Erosions it’s an installation with reused painted fabrics of my studio, wood and yarn. I worked with the idea of the urban floods driven by the shut off of rivers in the past or the human intervention to make them change their original flow. It aboards the transformation of nature and the urban scenarios built in Guadalajara, Mexico, the city where the artist lives, and Lagos, Nigeria. The use of the time during the exhibition and the wind caused by the windowless building caused accidental forms in the piece.
